Stage 50 jaar Aikido
Dit jaar namen 85 enthousiaste aikidoka’s van verschillende federaties en landen deel aan de speciale jubileumeditie van de jaarlijkse driedaagse pinksterstage in het Bloso centrum in Blankenberge.
Onze sensei, Antoine Vermeulen staat dit jaar 50 jaar op de tatami. Die 50 jaar ervaring geeft hij door aan zijn leerlingen die tijdens deze stage hun aikido ervaring trachtten te verrijken.
Op zondagavond werden de gasten uitgenodigd op een feestelijke receptie ter gelegenheid van dit 50 jarig jubileum.
Onze Sensei kreeg persoonlijke schriftelijke felicitaties van Moriteru Ueshiba (kleinzoon van de stichter), Yamada Sensei en Kitamura Sensei.
Proficiat en bedankt Sensei voor de fantastische stage! We kijken alvast uit naar editie 2019!
Eerst en vooral wil ik jullie danken voor jullie aanwezigheid op deze aikidostage ter gelegenheid van mijn 50 jaren op de tatami.
Jullie kennen allen mijn visie over aikido dat een ware budo is.
De ware geest van aikido moet men niet zoeken in een trainingsatmosfeer waar enkel de spierkracht overheerst.
Aikido is immers het zoeken naar de perfectie van geest en lichaam langs de regelmatig training om, onder de begeleiding van een "sensei" in Aikido.
Jullie aanwezigheid hier dit weekeind is voor mij een bewijs dat jullie samen met mij verder willen zoeken naar het unieke in aikido: het ontwikkelen van de persoonlijke energie(Ki),het trainen van de ademhaling-energie(kokyo) om te trachten deze in harmonie te brengen met de universele energie(Ki) zoals O'sensei en zijn eerste uchi-deshi's ons dit wilden doorgeven.Mijn wens is om dit nog jaren met jullie, die in mij geloven, te mogen beleven.
I have read your letter about the event celebrating Mr Antoine Vermeulen's 50 years involvement of Aikido activities.

This year 85 enthusiastic aikidokas from various federations and countries participated in the special anniversary edition of the annual three-day Pentecost seminar at the Bloso centre in Blankenberge.
Our Sensei, Antoine Vermeulen is celebrating his 50th year on the tatami this year. He passes on this 50 years of experience to his students who tried to enrich their aikido experience during this seminar.
On Sunday evening guests were invited to a festive reception to celebrate the jubilee. Our Sensei received personal written congratulations from Moriteru Ueshiba (grandson of the Founder), Yamada Sensei and Kitamura Sensei.

First of all I would like to thank you for your presence at this aikido seminar to celebrate my 50 years on the tatami.
You all know my vision of aikido which is a true budo.
The true spirit of aikido should not be seen in a training atmosphere where only muscle power predominates. Aikido is after all the quest for the perfection of mind and body, through regular training under the guidance of a "sensei" in Aikido.
Your presence here is for me a proof that you wish to continue searching with me for the uniqueness in aikido: developing the personal energy(Ki), training the breathing energy(kokyo) to try to bring it in harmony with the universal energy(Ki), as O'sensei and his first uchi-deshi's wanted to pass this on to us.My wish is to have the chance to experience this with you, those who believe in me, now and for many years to come.
